I got to know Katie and her sister Vicky after Vicky Ward contacted me through our website.  I spoke to both Katie and Vicky on many occasions about Katie's unborn son and what the future could hold for them, having experienced this with Amelia.  When the time came I supported Katie and baby Damien through his short little life.  He had his first open heart surgery which caused his little heart to fail.  This was a great shock to Katie and her family, Damien will always be remembered this way as a true CHD warrior and angel.  God has called back one of his angels you will always be in our hearts.
